This song mixes together the style of Colombian Vallenato with salsa. The begining verses are more clearly "Vallenato paseo" which were influenced by the groove provided by the "caja vallenata " a percussion instrument from the north coast of Colombia. The melodic and harmonic structure has a clear "salsa" taste, which converge into a powerful blend in the "mambo" part of the song.
The title of this song has a wide array of meanings "Opening Doors" can literally translate into many feelings establishing new relationships a person opening doors within themselves to a new and more positive attitude towards life. Another meaning of the title is opening doors to our Latin American cultures. Our nations share many common roots and if we open our doors we will become the new hope for this complex world. Its simply a matter of "Opening doors"

Como despué–Ÿ de la noche
As after the night
Brilla una nueva ma馻na
Shines a new morningEverybody all around the world
Stand up all my brothers
Joining our hands
United we're stronger
Fighting for peace
Caring about our loved ones
Trusting ourselves sharing our feeling
Believe me
(CHORUS:)
If only I could
I'd make this world a better place
If only I could
I'd make this world a better place
Believe me, believe me, believe me
I think about the implications
When alone between the sheets
When all the huggin' and kissin'
Is tearing my heart appart
All people standin' hand in hand
Celebratin' all different colours
Joining together sharing their feelings
Believe me
(CHORUS)
